DeNae Beth Reiswig

DeNae Beth Reiswig, 68, Weatherford, TX, formerly of Harvey, ND died Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the St. Aloisius Hospital, Harvey.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Harvey, ND.  Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.  

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

DeNae Beth Seibel was born on July 17, 1955, in Harvey, ND.  She was the daughter of Ben Jr. and Lois (Wiedmeier) Seibel.  DeNae was raised and educated in Harvey and graduated from Harvey High School in 1973.  On August 2, 1974, she married the love of her life, Kent Reiswig in Harvey.  They lived in Harvey until 1986 when they moved to Waterloo, Iowa.  In 1988, they relocated to St. Paul, Minnesota.  In 2021 they moved to Weatherford, Texas to enjoy their retirement.   During her career, DeNae managed a variety of medical offices, in the latter part of her career she was with the HealthEast Pathology Lab for 25 years.  DeNae loved spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved gardening, baking, cooking and feeding her hummingbirds. She had a knack for seeing beauty in things that others couldn’t see. 

DeNae is survived by her husband, of 49 years, Kent; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Sarah Reiswig of Justin, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Andy Darst of St. Paul, Minnesota; grandchildren, Nora Reiswig, Ian Darst and Lana Darst; mom, Agnes and her husband Don Schmidt of Harvey; sister, Amy (Shane) Haugen of Beulah, brothers, Neil (Yvonne) Seibel, Jay(Karen) Seibel, all of Beulah, Todd (Jen) Seibel of Lincoln, ND; sister-in-law, Renaye Wartner, Mesa, Arizona; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

DeNae was preceded in death by her parents; Ben Jr. and Lois Seibel; father-in-law Bert Reiswig; mother-in-law, Del Reiswig; brother-in-law, Al Wartner.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
